Interfaith Outreach
Mission: Welcoming and supporting interfaith families within the context of Jewish community life. An interfaith family, for this purpose, is a family whose life is influenced and impacted by family members who are not Jewish. This may include individuals with a non-Jewish spouse or partner, as well as those whose children, grandchildren, or other relatives are a part of an interfaith relationship.The Outreach Committee makes available a variety of programs designed to provide information, support, and opportunities to communicate. Together we can learn from the lives and stories of those who have found a road map for their journeys as interfaith families.
Any individual who is interested in participating in the on-going development of this committee and its programming within the Beth Emeth community, and whose family is impacted by another religion, is welcome to join this committee.

THE BETH EMETH OUTREACH COMMITTEE IS HOSTING AN ONLINE "TRADITION EXCHANGE."
What is that? you may wonder. Well, let me explain:
We would like to hear from you about how you celebrate holidays and Shabbat, how you are making Judaism a part of your life, how you are making Jewish traditions personal and creating them for you and your family. What artwork or keepsakes are in your house that let others know it is a Jewish home? What Jewish-themed books have you read or would you recommend to others? How are you communicating your traditions across the generations to your children and grandchildren?
And yes, there's more! We would love to hear suggestions from you about the ways you are true to your traditions while accommodating a busy 21st century lifestyle. Let's let others know that it's okay to pick up a challah and a rotisserie chicken at Price Chopper on a Friday evening for your Shabbat dinner. We know that lots of families are finding new and creative ways to live Jewishly in spite of their demanding schedules. Please let us know how you are making this work for you and your family.
